Business Analyst - Business Analysis Job

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively capture business requirements to write clear user scenarios
Participate in the process to translate business requirements/user stories into defined specifications including communicating with systems analysts and developers to clarify information
Conduct Joint Application Development sessions with the business users to elicit requirement
Ability to work in an Agile project team
Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to acquire user feedback and refine requirements
Assist with defining test cases per the specifications including clear acceptance criteria
Assist with the execution of test cases and validate solution meets defined specifications
Validation & Testing - Execute system testing when assigned, lead/facilitate user acceptance testing, ensuring that the software delivered fulfills established use cases and specifications
Mentor junior level business analysts when called upon.
Assist the Product Managers with smaller projects and operational tasks as lead when assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

- Bachelors degree in computer science, business, or equivalent technical degree required
- Experience range 7 To 10 Years.
- Strong communication Skills required.
- High level of comfort working with custom developed . NET Applications
- Experience with software development methodologies and processes, including both package and custom development solutions
- Exposure to product based solution and use case definition
- Experience with defining and maintaining artifacts for the BA practice area
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Highly organized and self-driven individual with ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

• Working knowledge of requirement management processes and requirement analysis processes, tools & methodologies.
• Able to analyze the impact of change requested/ enhancement/ defect fix and identify dependencies or interrelationships among requirements & transition requirements for engagement.

Process Modeling:

• Familiarity with standard process modeling notations and tools.
• Ability to create basic process models.

Data Analysis:

• Proficient in various data analysis techniques and tools.
• Ability to perform complex data analysis tasks.
• Ability to conduct data analysis workshops and analyze business data.

Business Process Improvement:

• Familiarity with standard process improvement methodologies and tools.
• Ability to identify basic process improvement opportunities.

Stakeholder Management:

• Familiarity with stakeholder management techniques.
• Ability to manage basic stakeholder relationships.

Solution Design:

• Awareness of solution design techniques.
• Can create simple solution designs using established design patterns and guidelines, to meet business requirements under guidance.

Accountability:

• Takes responsibility for and ensures accuracy of own work, as well as the work and deadlines of the team.
