Job Description
Designation: Tableau Analyst
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tableau Analyst to contribute to the design, development and enhancement of business intelligence solutions. This role involves creating interactive dashboards, analyzing complex datasets and collaborating across teams to drive data-informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Tableau, SQL and problem-solving, coupled with effective communication and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Visualization & Dashboard Development:
- Develop and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports, ensuring clarity and usability.
- Use Tableau features like calculated fields, filters and parameters to create meaningful visualizations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Continuously refine dashboard designs based on feedback and adhere to best practices in data visualization.
2. Data Analysis & Problem Solving:
- Leverage SQL skills to query, clean and analyze large datasets from various sources.
- Identify patterns, trends and inconsistencies to support operational and strategic objectives.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity and reliability in all dashboards and reports.
3. Collaboration & Learning:
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align on goals and deliverables and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Present insights and recommendations clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Stay updated on Tableau features and industry best practices, sharing knowledge and driving adoption of innovative techniques within the team.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new tools, methodologies, and approaches to strengthen the teams capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Data Analytics or a related field.
- 2-6 years of hands-on experience as a Tableau Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and optimizing large data sources.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to explain technical insights clearly.
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to address technical challenges effectively.
- Collaborative attitude and ability to contribute within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud AWS, Azure)
- Exposure to other BI tools such as Power BI or Looker.
- Familiarity with basic ETL processes and tools.
