Hardware Engineer

Purpose of Job.

The purpose of a mechanical senior design engineer is to lead the design and development of innovative and efficient mechanical systems that meet client needs, quality standards, and internal company objectives. This role requires an individual who can manage complex projects from conception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, prototype and test various mechanical systems
• Create detailed engineering plans and specifications for new products
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as R&D, production and sales in the product development process
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on project progress and make recommendations as needed • Provide technical support to manufacturing, marketing, and sales department to ensure high-quality products
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Mentor junior engineers and provide insight into engineering best practices
• Identify and address potential design issues and ensure the product meets the specifications outlined in the project brief.

Qualification, Experience and skills required:

• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years’ experience in product development and manufacturing.
• Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD and Ansys.
• Familiar with ASME, ISO, or ASTM standards.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills.
• Expertise in design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of quality control and assurance systems.
• Ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
