Position: Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer

Department: R&D

Academic Qualification: B.Tech /M.Tech in ECE

Professional Qualification:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in design, development, and testing of embedded systems integrated hardware and software design.

Responsibility:

• Design Microcontroller, analog and digital circuits to meet specific system requirements.
• Create schematic diagrams and layout designs for PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards).
• Develop hardware for embedded systems that interact with software applications or other devices (e.g., microcontrollers, sensors).
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and communication modules like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.
• Use testing equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters to test hardware functionality.
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues, including signal integrity problems or faulty components.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept designs.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure the hardware interfaces properly with embedded software.
• Create detailed Product documentation, including design specifications, testing reports, and user manuals etc
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.

Competency Criteria:

• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools like Orcad, Altium Designer.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, PIC, AVR) and embedded processors.
• Understanding of power supply circuits, battery management, and energy efficiency considerations for embedded devices.
• Knowledge of protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, Modbus and Ethernet for communication between components.
• Understanding of industry standards (e.g., IEC600079-0/1/11,CE, UL) and safety protocols for embedded systems.

Skills:

• Experience with power electronics, signal processing, RF design, and high-speed digital circuits.
• Familiarity with embedded programming and development environments (e.g., C/C++, Keil).
• Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, UL, ISO, or FCC certification processes.
