Position: GDS India Tax Manager // Germany Tax Compliance

The Opportunity

As part of the People Advisory core-tax mobility team you would work on German tax returns and tax return related activities for the expatriates from various clients. Furthermore, you as manager are expected to lead a team of analyst, advanced analyst, senior and AM. The primary responsibility includes but not limited to engagement management, close interaction with onshore engagement partner and developing client relationships.

Key responsibilities

Towards Client:

Demonstrate a high level of proficiency of Germany income tax technical knowledge.
1st and 2nd level review of German income tax returns and tax return related activities (eg, Tax Assessment Notices, Tax Policy calculations, Tax Inquiries).
Conducting tax briefings.
Provide season planning and monitoring deadlines for your responsible accounts.
Communicate progress and project status to all stakeholders
Set performance measurements and ensure that performance goals, including engagement economics, turnaround time and quality targets are met.
Conducting tax technical and process trainings.

Towards People:

Manage the engagement team of up to 20 team members.
Demonstrate leadership and executive presence
Onboard, develop, mentor, and supervise Analysts, Advanced Analysts, Seniors, and Assistant Managers
Create and lead the highest performing teams and inspire team members
Develop a flexible and adaptive management style to meet the diverse needs of our people and clients

Skills and attributes to success

To qualify for the role you must have:

Experience in German Income Tax Law and Datev Tax software of 5 or more years.
Experience in working and managing bigger teams (more than 10 team members).
German language experience is not required but will be an advantage
Full-time position, Location Bengaluru (RMZ Infinity office).
