JOB DESCRIPTION

This role resides in ITS Global Shared Services, which is responsible for Ball business applications globally. This role has responsibility for developing A2A and B2B integration solutions to meet business requirements for our manufacturing business. With a primary focus on Azure API Management, you will develop, test and deliver APIs to securely integrate Ball s applications. This is a critical role to help modernize Ball s integration capability and shift to a API First and Cloud First strategies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop, configure and document APIs adhering to Ball s standards and best practices
• Continuous improvement of Ball s integration processes and accelerators
• Ensure security, availability, observability and performance of APIs developed
• Test APIs to ensure they meet requirements and qualities of service
• Collaborate with application teams to streamline end to end solutions
• Publish APIs to maximize reuse potential
• Provide knowledge transfer to operations team

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required:

• 5+ years application development experience
• 4+ years of overall experience developing integration solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure integration technologies (Azure API Management, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse)
• 2+ years of deep experience with Azure API Management
• Ability to work with key stake holders (both functional and technical) to understand the requirements, create a technical design and deliver a solution
• Experience with and very good knowledge of Open API Specification
• RESTful APIs, JSON, XML
• C# programming experience
• API testing tools such as Postman
• API security techniques such as Oauth 2.0, JWT, Certificates

Preferred:

• Azure DevOps boards and pipelines
• Experience with OData, SOAP, XSLT
• C# programming experience
• Solid understanding of cloud concepts: Storage, Compute, Network and Managed Services)
