As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing and analysis. You will develop and execute test plans, manage defects, and collaborate with development teams to enhance the overall quality of software applications. This role requires a solid understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts.
Responsibilities and Duties
Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality.
Perform both manual and automated testing of software applications, identifying and documenting defects.
Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements, design test scenarios, and resolve issues.
Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to development teams to drive improvements.
Participate in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.
Assist in the creation and refinement of testing processes and best practices.
Mentor and support junior QA engineers, providing guidance and sharing best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Experience with both manual and automated testing processes.
Proficiency in scripting or programming languages used for test automation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Additional Requirements
Technologies: -Data testing, QA automation, cloud data, Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, or related fields. -Proven experience with ETL/ELT testing and data quality assurance for large datasets -Strong knowledge and experience in test case definition and regular software testing activities. -Strong SQL skills for data querying and validation and databases such as: MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, and non-SQL databases. -Proficiency in Python, PyTest or Java for test automation and scripting. -Experience with data testing tools, such as Apache Airflow, Dataform, or DBT, as well as traditional QA tools like Selenium and TestNG. -Knowledge of CI/CD processes, including tools like Jenkins or GitLab, for test deployment and automation. -Good knowledge and experience using DBT framework for test automation in Data Testing.
