Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounts Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts department, managing the day-to-day accounting activities, preparing and analysing Management Information Systems (MIS) reports, ensuring timely compliance with regulations, and implementing best practices in financial management. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.



Requirements


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:


\u25A0 Oversee all accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

\u25A0 Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.

\u25A0 Prepare and maintain financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.


MIS Reporting:

\u25A0 Develop and deliver accurate, timely, and insightful MIS reports to senior management.

\u25A0 Analyse financial data and present key insights for decision-making.

\u25A0 Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, recommending corrective actions when necessary.


Compliance and Audit:

\u25A0 Ensure the company complies with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings, statutory compliance, and financial reporting standards.

\u25A0 Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and implement audit recommendations.

\u25A0 Keep up to date with changes in accounting regulations and standards.

Team Management:

\u25A0 Supervise, train, and develop accounts department staff.

\u25A0 Allocate and oversee daily tasks for the team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

\u25A0 Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Internal Controls:

\u25A0 Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.

\u25A0 Continuously improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency.

Taxation:


\u25A0 Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns (e.g., GST, VAT, corporate tax).

\u25A0 Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


Bachelors or Masterdegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

[Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or similar certification] preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ZOHO, SAP, Tally, or similar).

Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and MIS reporting.

Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a keen eye for detail.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.

Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices (if relevant).

Experience with ERP systems and MIS reporting tools.

Recommended Work Experience for an Accounts Manager:


1. Total Experience :


\u25A0 Minimum : 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.

\u25A0 Ideal : 5-7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-4 years in a leadership role managing teams and overseeing accounting functions.

2. Relevant Roles :

\u25A0 Prior experience as an Accounts Executive , Senior Accountant , or Assistant Accounts Manager before transitioning to the Accounts Manager position.

\u25A0 Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, reconciliation, and tax filings.

\u25A0 Experience in preparing Management Information System (MIS) reports for decision-making and financial analysis.

\u25A0 Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting , and financial planning .


3. Supervisory/Managerial Experience :


\u25A0 Proven track record of managing a team of accountants or other financial professionals, including setting performance targets, allocating tasks, and supervising day-to-day activities.

\u25A0 Strong leadership abilities in driving team performance, mentoring, and training staff members.

\u25A0 Exposure to process improvements and implementing internal controls to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

4. Taxation & Compliance Experience :

\u25A0 In-depth experience with tax filings (GST, income tax, VAT) and other statutory filings.

\u25A0 Proven experience in dealing with internal audits and liaising with external auditors for annual financial audits.

5. Software and Tools :

\u25A0 Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ZOHO, QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, Oracle , or other ERP systems).

\u25A0 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel , including functions for financial analysis and report generation.

\u25A0 Familiarity with MIS tools and dashboard reporting for management.

6. Certifications (Preferred but not Mandatory) :

\u25A0 Chartered Accountant (CA) , Certified Management Accountant (CMA) , or CPA can add significant value.

\u25A0 Additional certifications or training in financial management , taxation , or ERP systems would be a bonus.
