SAP ABAP Developer (5-6 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in ABAP development and possess deep knowledge of key SAP modules like FI/CO, MM, and SD. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing ABAP solutions that integrate with various SAP modules and third-party systems. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop custom ABAP programs and reports based on business requirements.

- Utilize ABAP Workbench for design, testing, and debugging of applications.

- Create and optimize ALV reports, Smartforms, and SAPscript for generating dynamic and user-friendly documents

- Design and implement RFC (Remote Function Call) and BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) interfaces for seamless data exchange across SAP systems and external applications.

- Utilize BADI (Business Add-Ins) for enhancing standard SAP functionality and customizing processes.

- Develop solutions across key SAP modules like FI/CO, MM, SD, ensuring proper integration and functionality.

- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Leverage SAP HANA for performance optimization in data processing.

- Gain familiarity with SAP Fiori UI/UX principles for modern, user-friendly applications (preferred but not mandatory).

- Provide ongoing support for ABAP-related issues in production environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems efficiently.

- Work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

- Effectively communicate project status, timelines, and issues with team members and management.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Experience : Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP Development.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in ABAP Workbench, RFC, BAPI, ALV, Smartforms, and BADI.

- Strong understanding of SAP Modules like FI/CO, MM, SD, and the integration between these modules.

- Exposure to SAP HANA and SAP Fiori (preferred).

- Problem-Solving : Demonstrated ability to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in ABAP programs and SAP systems.

- Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with cross-functional teams and clients.

- Collaboration : Team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment and deliver high-quality solutions within deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with SAP Fiori (UI5) development or knowledge of modern front-end technologies.

- Experience working in an Agile or similar project management methodology.

- Certification in SAP ABAP or other relevant SAP certifications would be a plus.
