Test Engineer - Tableau Applications (5-8 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies and solutions for Tableau applications.

- Design detailed test plans, test cases, and test data to ensure thorough test coverage.

- Review and analyze business requirements and technical specifications to identify testing needs.

- Lead the development and implementation of a robust automation framework for Tableau testing, covering E2E and business scenarios.

- Design and implement automation solutions for complex integration scenarios involving Tableau.

- Enhance and maintain existing automation test suites to improve efficiency and coverage.

- Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and technologies for Tableau testing.

- Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and discrepancies.

- Generate comprehensive test reports and communicate test status to stakeholders.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and test environments.

- Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.

- Lead and mentor a team of automation test engineers, providing technical guidance and support.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure alignment on testing goals and objectives.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.

- Identify and mitigate risks associated with testing activities.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in test automation, with a focus on Tableau testing.

- Strong understanding of Tableau architecture, functionality, and data visualization principles.

- Proficiency in developing and implementing test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Python, or similar technologies.

- Experience with API testing and database testing.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

- Experience with testing data validation within Tableau.

- Experience with performance testing of Tableau dashboards and servers is a plus.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud-based Tableau deployments (e.g., Tableau Online, Tableau Server on AWS/Azure).

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Experience with Tableau's Javascript API.
