Edgistify - Head - Operations - Warehousing & Supply Chain (6-10 yrs)

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to lead and optimize our warehouse operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in warehouse management, leadership roles, and third-party logistics (3PL) operations. This role requires strong strategic planning, process optimization, and people management skills to drive operational excellence, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound, storage, outbound, inventory management, and transportation coordination.

2. Drive process standardization, efficiency improvements, and cost optimization across all warehouses.

3. Implement best practices in warehouse management and ensure adherence to SOPs.

4. Ensure seamless coordination between different stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.

5. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and profitability.

6. Plan and execute expansion strategies for warehouse infrastructure and operational capabilities.

7. Leverage data analytics and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

8. Ensure smooth client onboarding and execution of service-level agreements (SLAs).

9. Manage relationships with 3PL vendors, transporters, and warehouse service providers to optimize service delivery.

10. Address escalations and operational challenges with a solution-oriented approach.

11. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team across multiple locations.

12. Set performance KPIs, conduct periodic reviews, and ensure accountability at all levels.

13. Foster a culture of ownership, process excellence, and safety compliance within the team.

14. Ensure all warehouses comply with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.

15. Implement and oversee audit mechanisms for stock accuracy, inventory controls, and security.

16. Drive risk assessment initiatives to mitigate operational disruptions.

Key Requirements

Experience - 8+ years of experience in warehouse operations management, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.

Industry Exposure - Must have prior experience in 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) operations.

Skills - Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Technology & Process Knowledge - Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), automation, and industry best practices.

Client Management - Experience handling key accounts and client operations.

Multi-Location Experience - Must have managed operations across multiple warehouses and geographies.

Preferred Qualifications

Education - Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.

Certifications - Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
