Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned General Manager HR to oversee and manage the complete range of human resource operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and a positive working environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in HR leadership, compliance, talent acquisition, employee welfare, and HR systems. This role is responsible for driving the HR strategy across the company while ensuring operational efficiency and fostering a motivated and productive workforce.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee HR operations, including attendance management, salary preparation, appraisals, employee welfare, grievance handling, POSH compliance, and exit formalities.
  • Ensure smooth execution of HR processes and provide support to employees across departments.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory laws and compliance with regulations such as PF, ESI, Professional Tax, LWF, ISMW, CLRA, etc.
  • Keep up-to-date with labour laws and work closely with legal teams to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders to ensure overall satisfaction and contribute to business development.
  • Create a structured training calendar for employees, organizing and rolling out relevant training programs to enhance skills and development.
  • Support employees career growth through continuous learning and performance management initiatives.
  • Update and maintain the companys HR Manual and standardize HR documents such as appointment letters, job offers, and other key contracts.
  • Ensure consistency in documentation and clarity of roles and expectations.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external vendors for background verification, POSH compliance, recruitment services, and backup resources.
  • Oversee vendor performance to ensure high standards and cost-effective solutions.
  • Lead the talent acquisition process, ensuring the timely and effective recruitment of top talent.
  • Oversee the induction process to ensure new hires are well-integrated and aligned with company culture.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee motivation, reduce attrition, and improve overall employee performance and satisfaction.
  • Design and implement programs that foster a positive work culture and enhance employee engagement.
  • Foster and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment across the company.
  • Encourage open communication, teamwork, and mutual respect among employees.
  • Implement and oversee HR software systems such as Zoho People and Zoho Recruit to automate HR functions and improve operational efficiency.
  • Analyze HR data and generate insights for continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements:

MBA in Human Resources or equivalent HR qualification.

Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in HR management, with at least 8-10 years in a senior leadership role.

In-depth knowledge of labour laws, compliance, and HR best practices.

Experience in talent acquisition, employee development, and retention strategies.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in HR software systems (Zoho People, Zoho Recruit, or equivalent).

Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities, with the capability to drive change and improve HR functions.
