Assistant Manager - Process Excellence - Global Service Centre

Job Purpose:

1. Proficiency in various process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant frameworks.

8. Effective communication skills to convey process changes, updates, and improvements to team members and stakeholders.
9. Meticulous attention to detail to identify nuances and intricacies within processes, ensuring comprehensive optimization.

1. Assist Business units in developing appropriate metrics to showcase process efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Contribute to driving data-driven decision-making by providing insights into Business Performance through Dashboards.
3. Analyze process performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
4. Collaborate in the establishment of relevant KPIs to promote ownership at the End User level.
5. Actively engage with Users across the organization to foster a culture of identifying root causes for performance gaps, proposing suitable solutions, and supporting deployment.
6. Support Business units in embedding Continuous Improvement as part of their day-to-day business cycle.
7. Contribute to creating a culture of adopting Best Practices within the organization.
8. Support the integration of new businesses into the processes of the relevant Business Unit.
9. Conduct training and refresher sessions for end users to enhance data quality and usability.
10. Identify opportunities for leveraging technology to address recurring business challenges.
11. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of logistics industry trends and business best practices.
12. Follow an "Eliminate, Simplify, Standardise, Automate" approach to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
13. Leverage skills in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, Process Improvement, Process Digitalization, Process Automation/RPA, Data Analytics, and Change Management.
14. Demonstrate self-initiative, teamwork, and adept multitasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

1. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills, including proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools, data analysis, and visualization software, enabling them to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets and performance metrics. They should also demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
2. Strong project management skills are crucial, as the candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and driving them to successful completion. Familiarity with change management principles and practices is also desirable.
3. Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The candidate should demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills, enabling them to work efficiently with cross-functional teams to achieve process excellence goals.
4. Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or BPM is essential, and candidates with certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt) or similar process improvement certifications will be highly desirable.

Education / Qualifications / Professional Training (minimum qualifications required to perform the Job) Essential Graduate and 2+ years of experience in a Process Excellence or similar role Desirable Work Experience (No: of Years and areas of expertise required for the Job) Minimum 2+ years of experience in the shipping/logistics industry working for a mid- or large size shipping/logistics company. And be experienced in establishing and running Continuous Improvement Programs.
