Senior Developer - Wordpress (6-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress / HTML Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of high-quality, user-centric WordPress websites.

You will work closely with designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to build and deliver exceptional online experiences.

Responsibilities :

Website Development & Maintenance :

- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.

- Implement new features and functionalities, including custom forms, integrations, and e-commerce solutions.

- Optimize website performance and security through code optimization, caching, and security hardening techniques.

- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including front-end and back-end bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.

Technical Expertise :

- Deep understanding of WordPress core files, themes, plugins, and the WordPress REST API.

- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

- Experience with PHP and object-oriented programming principles.

- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular (a plus).

User Experience & Design :

- Ensure websites are responsive, user-friendly, and accessible across all devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).

- Collaborate with designers to translate design concepts into functional and visually appealing websites.

- Adhere to best practices for web development, including accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO.

Project Management & Collaboration :

- Work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with designers, content creators, and project managers.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.

- Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, best practices, and security updates.

- Explore and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance website performance and user experience.

- Maintain detailed website documentation and knowledge base.

Qualifications :

- 6+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.

- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

- Experience with PHP and object-oriented programming.

- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.

- Experience with version control systems (i.e., Git).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently1 and as part of a team.

- Passion for creating high-quality, user-centric websites.
