Quality Assurance Manager - Automation Testing (8-10 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Team Leadership & Collaboration :

- Lead, mentor, and train testing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Assess team performance, provide constructive feedback, and guide the team toward achieving quality goals.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure alignment with project requirements.

Test Automation Development :

- Design and implement robust, scalable automated testing frameworks.

- Develop effective and efficient test scripts, leveraging tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, and BDD frameworks.

- Ensure high-quality code development, utilizing C#, .NET, and optionally Java for automation tasks.

Test Management & Execution :

- Utilize test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, and Helix for planning, tracking, and reporting test activities.

- Execute and maintain automated test suites to validate application functionality and performance.

- Ensure adherence to Agile development processes and sprint goals.

Database & Backend Testing :

- Write and execute complex SQL queries for databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle to validate data integrity and backend functionality.

- Support end-to-end testing by integrating with APIs and backend systems.

Continuous Integration & DevOps :

- Implement Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools.

- Leverage Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes for cloud-based automation and containerized environments.

Quality Assurance & Problem-Solving :

- Identify technical challenges and propose effective solutions to undefined problems.

- Ensure comprehensive test coverage, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement in testing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Expertise

- Proficiency in C#, .NET, with optional knowledge of Java.

- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, and BDD frameworks.

- Strong knowledge of Selenium for UI automation testing.

- Expertise in database testing with SQL queries on Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.

- Familiarity with cloud technologies like Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Test Management Tools :

- Proficiency with tools like JIRA, ALM, and Helix for test planning and tracking.

DevOps and CI/CD :

- Strong experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and other DevOps technologies.

Problem Solving & Communication :

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate technical challenges and undefined problems effectively.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Knowledge of the Retail domain and readiness to learn target platforms.

- Familiarity with Cycle Platform is a plus.

- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
