UCM Engineer - Network Infrastructure (5-10 yrs)

Job Description :

As a UCM Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting Unified Communications Manager (UCM) systems, specifically focusing on Ribbon SBCs.

You will work closely with network teams to ensure seamless voice and video communication.

Key Responsibilities :

- Integrate Ribbon SBCs with existing network infrastructure.

- Configure BNG devices for subscriber management, authentication, and policy enforcement.

- Hands-on experience with network protocols, including SIP, H.323, SCCP, ISDN, MGCP, and RTP.

- Configure and manage UCM features, such as call routing, voicemail, and conferencing.

- Monitor UCM performance and identify potential issues.

- Analyze logs and traces to identify and resolve issues.

- Work with vendors and other teams to troubleshoot complex problems.

- Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.

- Utilize APIs and SDKs to automate routine operations.

- Implement security best practices to protect the UCM environment.

- Configure security policies and firewalls.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong understanding of telecommunications protocols and technologies.

- Hands-on experience with Ribbon SBCs and Cisco IP telephony infrastructure.

- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud-based UC solutions.

- Knowledge of virtualization technologies.

- Experience with network monitoring tools
