BNG Integration Engineer - Network Infrastructure (5-10 yrs)

Job Description

As a BNG Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful integration and management of Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) devices into existing network infrastructure.

You will work closely with network architects, engineers, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities :

BNG Integration :

- Integrate BNG devices from vendors like Nokia, Cisco, and Juniper into the existing network infrastructure.

- Develop and execute integration plans to minimize service disruptions.

- Configure BNG devices for subscriber management, authentication, and policy enforcement.

- Manage IP addressing, DHCP configurations, and routing protocols.

Network Protocols :

- Hands-on experience with network protocols, including PPPoE, IPoE, DHCP, and RADIUS.

- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.

Network Operations :

- Monitor BNG performance and identify potential issues.

- Implement network security measures to protect the BNG infrastructure.

- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on BNG systems.

- Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including PPPoE, IPoE, DHCP, and RADIUS.

- Hands-on experience with BNG devices from leading vendors.

- Experience in network troubleshooting and problem-solving.

- Knowledge of network security best practices.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Python scripting)

- Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
