Job Description :

- Design, implement, and manage secure LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.

- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware and software.

- Optimize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and scheduling upgrades.

- Implement and manage security policies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control.

- Monitor networks for security breaches or intrusions, responding to incidents in real-time.

- Implement security solutions such as VPNs, SSL, DDoS mitigation, and endpoint protection.

- Manage identity and access management (IAM) systems, ensuring secure authentication methods.

- Monitor network performance using tools like SNMP, SolarWinds, or Wireshark.

- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, both on-site and remote.

- Provide support for network-related incidents and outages, ensuring minimal downtime.

- Diagnose, document, and resolve issues related to network security and performance.

- Configure and manage firewalls (e.g, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) and ensure proper rule enforcement.

- Implement and maintain IDS/IPS systems, ensuring optimal detection and prevention of threats.

- Regularly review and audit firewall policies, ensuring compliance with security standards.

- Ensure network security policies and procedures comply with industry regulations (e.g, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR).

- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify risks.

- Maintain up-to-date documentation on security controls, network diagrams, and incident response plans.

- Use automation tools or scripts (e.g, Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline network configurations and security tasks.

- Implement automated systems for network monitoring and security alerting.

- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Preferred Skill Set :

Primary Skills :

- Strong experience with network infrastructure components (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.

- In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies, VPN, and security protocols (IPSec, SSL, TLS).

- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).

- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, DNS, DHCP).

- Experience in configuring and maintaining IDS/IPS systems.

- Knowledge of cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus

Secondary Skills :

- Hands-on experience with firewall management, access control, vulnerability management, and encryption.

- Strong knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc.

- Experience with security incident detection and response, penetration testing, and risk mitigation
