About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated SAP Basis Consultant to join our team and take a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in SAP Basis administration, combined with hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA. This role involves system setup, performance optimization, and ongoing support for critical SAP systems, contributing to the success of our business operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration and Maintenance:

- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and other SAP products.

- Perform regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system health and availability.

S/4HANA Expertise:

- Manage and administer SAP S/4HANA environments, ensuring efficient operation and integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Work with functional and technical teams to implement and support S/4HANA-specific features and optimizations.

Database Administration:

- Administer and maintain underlying databases, such as HANA, Oracle, or MS SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and performance.

- Conduct database backups, restores, and system refreshes as needed.

System Upgrades and Migrations:

- Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, migrations, and patches, including those for S/4HANA.

- Ensure smooth transitions with minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.

User and Security Management:

- Manage user roles, authorizations, and profiles to maintain system security and compliance.

- Conduct regular audits and apply SAP security patches as required.

Performance Optimization:

- Analyze system performance and implement tuning recommendations to enhance responsiveness and efficiency.

- Monitor job scheduling and system workload distribution to optimize resource utilization.

System Integration and Support:

- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to integrate SAP systems with other enterprise systems.

- Provide technical support and resolve issues reported by end-users in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

- Proficiency in SAP Basis administration, including system installation, upgrades, and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including setup, monitoring, and optimization.

- Strong knowledge of HANA database administration and troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, Gateway, and other supporting SAP components.

Problem-Solving Skills:

- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex SAP system issues.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Technology (B.Tech) or Master's degree in Computer Applications (MCA).

Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.

- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP certification in Basis or S/4HANA administration.

Knowledge of cloud-hosted SAP environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience with Solution Manager for monitoring and system administration.
