Sales Head
Key responsibilities may include:
Strategic Planning:
- Developing and executing comprehensive sales and business development strategies aligned with company goals, including market analysis, identifying new market segments, and identifying potential partnerships.
Sales Team Leadership:
- Managing and motivating a sales team, setting sales targets, coaching and developing individual sales representatives, and overseeing performance metrics.
Business Development:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers at potential clients, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
Market Analysis:
- Conducting market research to understand industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, managing customer accounts, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Pipeline Management:
- Overseeing the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent lead generation, and managing the sales process from prospecting to closing deals.
Financial Performance:
- Monitoring sales performance against targets, analyzing sales data, and identifying areas for improvement to maximize revenue generation.
Team Building and Development:
- Recruiting and hiring top sales talent, providing ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Working closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales efforts and achieve company objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Auto industry exposure specifically with special focus on commercial vehicles OEMs, Off highway, etc and experience on aggregates and components will be an added advantage
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, ideally with experience in business development
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies and best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term business plans
- Leadership qualities to motivate and inspire a sales team
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales automation tools
Key KPI's:
- Revenue Growth: Measures the increase in revenue over a specific period.
- Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): The cost of acquiring a new customer.
- Sales Target Achievement: Percentage of sales targets met by the sales team.
- Customer Lifetime Value (CLV): Total revenue expected from a customer throughout the relationship.
- Net Promoter Score (NPS): Measures customer loyalty based on their likelihood of recommending the company.
- Operating Profit Margin: Indicates the percentage of revenue remaining after operational expenses.
