Hiring For Data Integration Support

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Support Team Manager to lead a team of support specialists responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting critical systems, homegrown tools, and data ingestion feeds. This role involves close monitoring of data flows, ensuring operational excellence, resolving technical issues very quickly, and ensuring that the tickets for new setups and data issues are addressed quickly and in a satisfactory manner. The manager will also oversee the hiring and onboarding of new support specialists and oversee the creation and implementation of new data integrations and tool setups.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor a team of support specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Ensure team members are equipped with the skills and resources necessary to perform their roles effectively.
• Establish and monitor performance metrics, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
• Manage on-call rotation to ensure continuity

Operational Oversight

• Actively monitor and troubleshoot homegrown tools and systems responsible for file and data ingestion alongside the team members.
• Develop and implement robust operational processes to ensure maximum uptime and reliability of tools.
• Act as the escalation point for critical issues, working hands-on to diagnose and resolve complex problems.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving

• Analyze failures and technical challenges, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact system performance.

Data Implementation and Tool Setup

• Lead the setup new data integrations, ensuring smooth implementation and operational readiness.
• Ensure thorough documentation exists and is maintained for all processes and adequate knowledge transfer is established.

Required Qualifications.

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT and data system support, system monitoring, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience managing technical teams.
• Skills:
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of windows server environments and scripting
• Experience with SFTP, usage of certificates, and multiple authentication methods.
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools.
• Hands-on experience with file transfer and ETL technologies
• Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and system reliability.

Special Requirement

• Be able to travel to Wichita Kansas shortly after hiring for 2 weeks of side-by-side on the job training.
