Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Cypress (5-10 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by leveraging your expertise in test automation, code analysis, and agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies for software applications.

- Automate test cases and manage test environments to ensure seamless delivery pipelines.

- Collaborate with development teams to integrate quality assurance processes into the GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

- Conduct unit testing and end-to-end testing to ensure product reliability and performance.

- Leverage tools like Cypress for end-to-end testing and SonarQube for code analysis.

- Act as a quality advocate within Scrum teams, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.

- Document and report on software defects, and work with the development team for timely resolution.

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting insights on software quality.

Requirements :

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.

- Hands-on experience with GitLab Pipelines.

- Proficiency in unit testing and end-to-end testing.

Skills & Tools :

- Comfort with Cypress for end-to-end testing (preferred).

- Experience using SonarQube for code analysis.

- Solid understanding of agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills :

- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
