Job Responsibilities :
- Responsible for Supply Chain Management activities including Purchase, Logistics and Stores management (vendor development, enquiries, quotation analysis, technical / commercial specification analysis, vendor finalization, negotiation, service etc aspects, PO preparation, material storage and movement etc)
- Responsible for follow-up and coordination to ensure timely delivery of material as per schedule
- Cost saving initiative through negotiation and alternative sourcing methods.
- To maintain healthy relationship with supplier/ contractors for better business prospect and also regularly monitor the performance of them
- Coordinating with project team/ other departments and identify requirement of material
- Resolving discrepancies related to the material, vendors etc.
- Review of stock level and making arrangements of procurement to meet optimum level of required material
- Streamlining process of purchasing, planning, in bound logistics for raw materials, packing materials, fuels, engineering spare parts, capital items, R&D consumables/chemicals etc
- Generating various reports related to work area
- Responsible for completing process of Import & Export (i.e. entire documentation, formalities related to local, national, international bodies etc)
- To develop, review, monitor the purchase operations and ensure that the purchase procedure is correctly followed to maintain economy and efficiency in the operation.
- Contribute to improve the operations & streamline the work processes & maintains a healthy working environment
- Implement procurement strategy, policies and forecast procurement needs
- Monitor macro trends in suppliers, contractors and implement plans to react
- Build and develop relationships with key suppliers, vendors etc
- To keep a track of the quality/ quantity (received/ required)/ cost of products and services
- To keep a track of the quality/ quantity (received/ required)/ cost of products and services
- Ensuring availability of required material, services within budgeted resources (i.e. cost, time etc)
- Carries out a detailed market research and survey to find various products/ services, new trends, costing etc
- Responsible for entire purchase (i.e. enquiry, quotation analysis, purchase order preparation, short listing vendor/ supplier as per the policy, purchase order issue etc)
- Follow up with compliance people for preparing of compliance reports related to Purchase order
- Responsible for collecting feedback on received goods/ services and resolving discrepancy if any. Also responsible for taking corrective measure / preventive measure to resolve the problem
- Responsible for logistics activities relating to movement of material from one location to another inter and intra state and country.
- Responsible for Stores department activities for efficient storage and retrieval mechanisms and Inventory management.
- Manage vendor relationships and building effective partnerships. Also actively work on vendor development
- Maintain all the documents related procurement department
- Actively participate in purchase department budgeting process
- Ensure maintenance of updated record for goods and services offered, ordered, and obtained
- To attend and hold negotiation meeting, discussion meeting with various people of the company
- Adhere to all the ISO compliances and implementation of same at every stage
- Set goals for subordinates and monitor their progress - ensure subordinate development
- Works as coach, guide and mentor for the entire organization and more specifically for team
