Sr Purchasing Specialist (M/F/D)

• Manage and control all procurement activities including tendering processes, negotiation with contractors, and commercial contract management.
• Provide specialist advice, guidance, and service on leading practice procurement to all departments.
• Implement effective procurement strategies and policies to achieve cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Monitor and track purchases, deliveries, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
• Conduct market research to ensure high quality and innovative sourcing strategies.
• Develop, implement, and refine a vendor qualification program.
• Lead and manage the purchasing team, providing training, guidance, and feedback.
• Establish and maintain beneficial external relationships, fostering potential partnerships that could enhance procurement operations.
• Work proactively with strategic suppliers to ensure effective performance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with relevant departments regarding purchasing needs, planning, and budgeting.
• Comply with and maintain knowledge of applicable rules, legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Work towards achieving financial objectives by forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
• Resolve material requirement planning (MRP) issues and act as a liaison between suppliers and all related departments.

• Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or a similar role.
• Proven track record of successful strategic sourcing and cost-saving initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for negotiating contracts and dealing with vendors.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a natural ability to influence others.
• Highly analytical, with advanced problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
