Job Description
- Responsible for strategizing and executing effective purchasing strategies.
- Assess, manage, and negotiate contracts with suppliers in compliance with organizational objectives and procurement policies.
- Keep track of all purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Identify future procurement opportunities and collaborate with suppliers to ensure effective supply chain development.
- Effective management of supplier performance in ensuring compliance with service and quality standards.
- Keep abreast of market trends in order to make informed procurement decisions.
- Conduct regular risk evaluations to safeguard against potential supply chain disruptions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and understand their needs and requirements related to procurement.
- Responsible for inventory management and ensuring stock levels are maintained at optimal levels.
- Maintain and update supplier information such as qualification details, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Resolve any invoice price and quantity discrepancies to make sure the accounting records are accurate.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely closure of purchase orders and resolve any accounting issues related to procurement.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on the effectiveness of the procurement strategy.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to procurement.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information as per the company s data privacy policies.
