Job Responsibilities :
Job Summary:
The Rig Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and operational readiness of all mechanical and hydraulic machinery fitted on barges, vessels, and other equipment hired for projects. This role requires hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of hydraulic equipment such as winches, power swivels, and lifting equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hydraulic units to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Maintain and ensure the operational readiness of all mechanical and hydraulic machinery on barges, vessels, and project-related equipment.
- Repairing and maintaining hydraulic equipment such as winches, power swivels, and lifting equipment.
- Lead maintenance teams at various sites, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring the efficient completion of tasks.
- Diagnose issues in hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment and carry out necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
