Assistant Accountant

About This Role
Have an eye for details and a keen numerical sense? Our Finance Reporting Team upkeeps the financial standing of the company and provides insights to stakeholders, paving the way for further expansion and growth.

What You Will Be Doing
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting rules & principles, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping.

• Payment Operations
• Keep records of invoices and payments.
• Get approvals for payment processing.
• Manage regional bank accounts and prepare payment transactions.
• Administer the corporate credit card program.
• Support payroll by reviewing and processing employee reimbursements.
• Report on the Groups cash flow and liquidity.
• Billing Operations
• Assist with accounting tasks (e.g., AP & AR processes, GL, account reconciliation).
• Manage and support clients billing and invoicing queries.
• Finance and Accounting
• Coordinate with external parties like auditors, tax agents, banks, and local tax and government authorities.
• Assist with local filing requirements, tax filings, and audits.
• Assist to prepare and close monthly and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support business partnering.
• Implement new processes, policies, and systems as needed.
• Support the finance department at headquarters as needed.

About You

• Qualifications
• Relevant Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience
• 2 Years related experience with an MNC.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
• Competency in MS Office, spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Skills & Qualities
• Highly detail-oriented and organised.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Independent, adaptable, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to take on special projects and assignments as required.
