The Turnaround Scheduling Lead supervises a team of turnaround schedulers as a member of the Maintenance and Turnaround organization within the Chevron ENGINE.
This role supports Chevrons Refineries and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) assets.
The Turnaround Scheduling Lead will lead a team responsible for all primavera P6 reporting , including daily craft look-ahead and work scope prioritization, resource contractor profiles and manpower loading, S-curve and overall direct labor productivity analysis, and progress reporting to Management.
This role will lead a team of schedulers in developing detailed turnaround work packages and associated work scope estimates with appropriate activity detail, activity duration, and resource requirements across the Chevron Refineries and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facilities.
This role is responsible for ensuring their team engages with key stakeholders to develop optimized and resource loaded/levelled schedules, leads schedule optimization efforts and develops Integrated event schedules for all Preand Post-turnaround work and applicable Capital Project work scopes..
Key Responsibilities.
Lead the scheduling team to develop fully integrated turnaround and project schedules across several operating assets.
Ensure team and individual deliverables are understood, performance expectations are clear, and progress is measured and reported.
Review contractor resource estimates to ensure adherence to resource loading requirements, terms and conditions.
Provides leadership, mentoring, and development for scheduling team members as per Chevron Planning / Scheduling standards and continually improves key work processes.
Coordinates with operating facilities and contractors as necessary to ensure turnaround schedule alignment, analyze schedule data, ensure turnaround shutdown, clean-up, start-up (SCS) procedures are effectively sequenced and resource loaded, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Validate turnaround job scheduling is complete and identify risk points in the estimates.
Prioritize work with input from operating facilities and allocate resources accordingly to meet expectations.
Participate in hiring and organizational design as required.
Support succession planning discussions with leadership teams for the ENGINE turnaround organization.
Enhance ENGINE knowledge of industry standards and best practices for turnaround scheduling and execution while ensuring the documentation of lessons learned from all Phases of Chevrons turnaround process.
Work with others to adopt digital tools as rolled out for use and provide feedback to product owners.
Required Qualifications.
Minimum of 5 years Turnaround experience within Complex Facilities.
Demonstrated relative experience in developing detailed schedules and resource loading plans for a complex processing facility or operating assets in Maintenance turnaround events.
Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in relevant Engineering or Maintenance field from a recognized (AICTE) university.
2 4 years of supervisory experience.
Experienced in supporting field execution of turnarounds specifically within the refining and/or liquefied natural gas industry.
5 years relevant turnaround execution, planning and scheduling experience, in particular supporting turnaround teams in a complex oil and gas operating environment is preferred.
Working knowledge of Primavera P6 project schedule management software, SAP, SMART GEP, and Maximo/JDE CMMS and their interfaces with the scheduling programs is preferred.
