JOB POSITION

  • Reporting to the Country Head, this position will be a key member of the senior executive team at Carelon, responsible for driving, implementing, and communicating the overall Carelon enabling functions Strategy, identifying, and driving sustainable value, and advancing the enabling functions within the organization.
  • This position will collaborate effectively across the organization in enabling and influencing to drive a shared vision of success and business outcomes.
  • Enabling functions reporting (directly indirectly) would include HR, Communications, Procurement, Legal,
  • Compliance, Ethics Privacy, Finance, Security, and CRE/Facilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Experience in leading large operations, transitions, driving innovation, process efficiency automation programs and program management at an enterprise level
  • Experience/Knowledge in setting/driving strategic priorities, transforming strategy into successful execution and performance and scale/manage the performance of the operations.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively influence strategy and decision making across multiple levels of the organization and diverse business technology groups
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and gravitas to interact and manage expectations with senior leaders, stakeholders and management
  • Highly flexible, adaptable to change and experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated people manager skills and ability to connect, engage, motivate, coach and represent the cultural values of the organization
  • Outstanding collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills as demonstrated by proven ability to effect change at multiple levels

  • Primary duties for this senior management position, with moderate to advanced complexity and broad/enterprise scale include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Thinking

  • Develops, implements and communicates the overall enabling functions strategy to meet the organization s strategic objectives including managing and executing the programs in accomplishing those objectives.
  • Enables and fosters an environment of productivity, efficiency, and innovation aligned to Carelon s goals supporting the various business operations, technology and corporate groups
  • Drives transformational programs, transitioning and managing operations, optimizing operations with controls, compliance, legal, risk mitigation, efficiency and automation
  • Coordinate Business Continuity and disaster recovery planning with the tower leaders
  • Help develop, continually improve and support business units and support units to apply best practices
  • Be an advisor in complex problem-solving situations to build consensus, identify priorities and directions, and ensure successful outcomes
  • Lead in developing, refining, and adapting quality standards to meet evolving requirements; and promotes consistently high standards across the company Enabling functions Operations
  • Extensive experience in managing complex enabling functions, driving transformational programs within corporate functions, optimizing operations with controls, risk mitigation, efficiency and automation
  • Demonstrated leadership who is visible, engaged, be a role model, think and act as a corporate leader, drive decisions collaboratively, take ownership and accountability for Carelon operations at the Executive level
  • Working closely with the rest of the organization in identifying specific services and capabilities to meet current and future needs
  • Identify opportunities for improvement/reengineering and enable productivity and innovation
  • Builds and delivers Executive Dashboard and decision support analytics to drive progression across Carelon operations

  • Demonstrated skills/experience in influential leadership and general management/administrative management is required.

  • Ability willingness to disrupt the status quo and redefine what is possible.

QUALIFICATION

  • Combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Extensive experience in MNC s and Large Services firms in an executive capacity will be a plus.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 10+ years in Executive capacity in a large firm, GCC or MNC
  • 20+ years of work experience across business, technology, enabling functions, Site and/or country operations in a large global firm, GCC or MNC
  • Minimum 15 years of people management experience in a large global MNC/GCC firm
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and working in a matrix organization with ability to influence the stakeholders is a requirement
  • Prior experience in leading country operations across business, technology and enabling functions is a plus
  • Extensive experience in managing corporate functions (e.g. Corporate real estate, compliance, legal, Communications, corporate security etc.)
  • International work experience of 5+ years will be a plus, but not required
  • Degree or equivalent in Business, administrative studies or a related field

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrated skills/experience in country operations managing enabling functions at an Executive/senior leadership level with ability to inspire and drive the organizational agenda
  • Multi-dimensional experience across country operations, enabling functions, business, technology corporate operations transformation; Ideal candidate would be a country executive for a smaller organization that is looking to move to lead a larger growing organization with a transformational agenda.
  • Experience in leading/managing and being an influential leader in a matrix organizational structure
  • Strategic global mindset, excellent judgment at a complex organizational level, and proactive and dynamic style that fosters informed decision making, particularly on challenging, complex and difficult issues
