C.V. Raman Global University (CGU), Odisha started in 1997 as a degree-level engineering college, named as C.V. Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE). Where You Come In

The HR Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of HR processes within the organization. This role involves streamlining HR processes, implementing best practices, managing HR systems, supporting various HR initiatives, performance appraisal and performance review activities. The HR Operations Manager will also serve as a key liaison between HR and other departments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.


Duties & Responsibilities


1.HR Process Management:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure efficient execution of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Monitor and optimize HR systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

2.Employee Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding and exit interviews.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of employee documentation, contracts, and records.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing concerns related to HR policies and practices.

3.Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR data, ensuring confidentiality and security.
  • Generate and present regular reports on HR metrics, such as turnover, absenteeism, and workforce productivity.

4.Payroll & Benefits Administration:

  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans,and other perks.
  • Work closely with finance and accounting departments to reconcile payroll and benefits data.

5.Recruitment:

  • Actively oversee the recruitment process, and support in finding and hiring candidates for a specific position or job, from inception to the individual recruit's integration into the University.
  • Collaborates with departmental heads to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

6.HR Systems & Technology:

  • Manage HR information systems (HRIS) and ensure smooth integration with other business systems.
  • Continuously review and recommend HR technology improvements to streamline operations.

7.Employee Engagement & Satisfaction:

  • Support HR leadership in developing programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate employee surveys, feedback sessions, and other initiatives aimed at improving workplace culture.

8. Employee Training & Development:

  • Collaborate with learning and development teams to identify HR-related training needs and facilitate programs to boost the performance of employees.
  • Support the development of leadership pipelines and succession planning strategies.

9. Performance Appraisal Management:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and execution of performance appraisal systems that align with university's objectives and employee development goals.
  • Manage the annual performance review process, including setting timelines,coordinating reviews, and ensuring completion within deadlines.
  • Work with department heads and managers to provide guidance on setting performance expectations and goals for employees.
  • Evaluate performance according to established norms and identify potential aspects for improvement that can eventually lead to further progress and growth of the employee.

10.Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing documents of various statutory bodies such as UGC, NBA, PCI, NIRF,

NBA. Guiding the faculty members on various issues pertaining to academics, regulations,
etc

  • Extend support in the conduct of all official correspondence under the guidance of Registrar/ Dy. Registrar.
  • Storing, organizing and administering student records; keeping student information confidential and secure; Overseeing the student admissions and graduation process as directed.

Who Are We Looking For

  • Career 1st Class throughout (60% Career)
  • Minimum qualification of MBA in HR /Operations/PMIR
  • At least Five years or more of relevant experience in HR / administrative in any Industry/ Corporate/ higher education/ University.
