Fleet Manager (108-Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services)

Role & responsibilities

• Controlling the maintenance and repair of vehicles in the fleet.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure fleet readiness.
• To plan and accomplish goals of department and distribute and direct the work of fleet staff.
• Develops and implements vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance programs.
• Preparation of fleet department budgets.
• Develops and maintains outside vendor and service provider relationships.
• To review off road status daily and improve uptime of the Zone by keeping down time below 5 %.
• Responsible for bench marking KMPL of vehicle in the state and achieving it.
• Responsible for 100% Schedule Servicing adherence of Fleet.
• Ensuring Optimum Tyre & Battery Life.
• Review Accident vehicles on daily basis and initiate suitable action for recovery of vehicle..
• Responsible for review of the performance of the zonal workshops..
• To support in Go Live Audits.
• End-to-end management of Ambulance procurement & fabrication
• Knowledge of Statutory Compliances for Fleet Management and ensuring adherence.
• Vendor Relationship Management.
• Identification and implementation of best practices for Fleet Management.
• Establishing support systems for ensuring maximum uptime of ambulances viz., arrangements with fuel suppliers, garages/service centers, insurance agencies, transport authorities etc.
• Liaison with OEMs for technical support
• Coordination with Training and Development activities of HR
• Liasoning with respective State Government authorities regarding Fleet related issues. E.g. RTO Fitness Passing etc.
• Implementation of review mechanisms and follow up measures.
• Implementation of Cost saving methods in fuel conservation and Repairs maintenance cost.
• Budget planning for Respective Zone fleet

Preferred candidate profile

Must have experience in handling similar or related Work.

Must be comfortable in travelling
