Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Business Development to lead and execute our growth strategy.
This role is critical for driving revenue generation, expanding our market presence, and building strategic partnerships.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in business development, sales, and team leadership.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing business development plans, identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing a high-performing team, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
- This includes market analysis, target customer identification, competitive analysis, and sales forecasting.
- New Business Development: Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, cold calling, online research, and industry events.
- Lead the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
- Team Leadership & Management: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing business development team.
- Set clear goals, provide regular coaching and feedback, and foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, industry influencers, and internal teams.
- Market Research & Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify new target markets and refine existing strategies.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, track progress against targets, and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Utilize CRM tools effectively to manage leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Proposal Development & Presentations: Develop compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline health, and revenue generation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships1 with key stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and data-driven approach.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed
