Global Sales Manager Distribution Market
Role Objective:
- A key objective of this position is to lead and manage international distribution markets (indirect sales) for surgical consumables, medical devices and intraocular lenses (IOLs).
- The position is responsible for strengthening current distribution channels, identifying areas for improvement and formulating new distribution strategies aligned with organizational goals to drive International market growth and achieve revenue targets.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: A graduate or master's degree in Business, Ophthalmology, or Science, along with an MBA or a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration - Marketing.
- Experience: 15-20 years of experience in direct sales and international distribution management, with expertise in surgical consumables, medical devices, pharmaceutical products, medical retail equipment and intraocular lenses (IOLs).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing international sales and distribution markets, demonstrating a proven track record of driving business growth.
- Comprehensive understanding of international sales and distribution strategies, along with in depth knowledge of market dynamics.
- Results-oriented and proactive sales approach with a strong focus on driving growth.
- Proven expertise in setting and achieving ambitious sales and distribution targets.
- Demonstrated experience in business development across international markets.
- Exceptional networking and relationship management skills, particularly with key accounts and distributors.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively for international business opportunities.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust international distribution strategies for designated product portfolios, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead business development efforts, focusing on expanding and strengthening international distribution networks.
- Identify and establish partnerships with key accounts, distributors, and channel partners in International markets.
- Analyse market trends, assess distribution performance using digital platforms/software tools, and recommend improvements to increase market penetration and share.
- Set aggressive distribution goals aligned with strategic organizational targets and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, logistics, and inventory management) to optimize operations in international markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and distributors to ensure sustained business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the organization in international business meetings, negotiations, and industry events.
