Key Responsibilities:
1. Revenue Generation:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive traffic and build a lead funnel via impactful content on social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Twitter etc. We are not after metrics like video views alone - we need viewers to take action on our website after seeing the content on YT.
- Identify and leverage collaborations and affiliate marketing campaigns - again with the aim of driving traffic to our site and building a funnel for our various paid programs.
To clarify - this is not a typical social media manager role. It will carry revenue targets and we plan to build certain products lines entirely from this channel and with no other advertising support.
2. Content Strategy and Optimization:
- Create and schedule engaging content tailored to each platform's audience and trends. (Note - our in-house educational content team/brand team will help create the actual content but this person will be responsible for providing the content strategy/requirements). Ability to create videos and other content will be a huge plus point.
- Manage YouTube SEO, including keyword optimization, tags, and thumbnails, to improve visibility and reach.
- Develop and implement strategies for social media threads, trends, and high-performing hashtags.
3. Audience Engagement:
- Build and nurture a loyal community of followers by fostering authentic interactions.
- Monitor comments, messages, and trends to address audience needs and maintain engagement.
- Respond to inquiries, feedback, and interactions in a timely and professional manner.
4. Collaboration and Campaign Management:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align social media campaigns with broader marketing goals.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, video editors, and content creators to deliver high-quality assets.
5. Stay Updated on Trends:
- Keep abreast of algorithm updates, monetization policies, and emerging trends across social media platforms.
- Experiment with new features, ad formats, and creative approaches to stay competitive.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media management with a focus on YouTube, having delivered on business goals (leads/revenue) via YT.
- Strong understanding of platform-specific monetization strategies and tools
- Proficiency in analytics platforms such as YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, and social media monitoring tools.
- Excellent content creation skills, including knowledge of video editing, graphic design, and copywriting.
- Creative mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in digital marketing, content marketing, or a similar field.
- Familiarity with influencer marketing and affiliate partnerships.
- Knowledge of audience segmentation and targeted advertising strategies.
