Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administration of the SAN & backup server/tool, patches and configurationally changes
- Implement the back-up schedules as per the backup plan provided by the user departments.
- Monitor daily health status of SAN Storage & backup schedules.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve the SAN & backup problems.
- Support client system administrators for restoration activities as per their requirements.
- Resolve the real time (RT) requests raised by users as per SLA.
- Create/delete, enable/disable zones/volume/ and access rights in the storage solution.
- Upgrade the SAN & backup system software as per OEM recommendation or operational needs.
- LUN creation, size allocation & customization of requirement as per user needs.
- Administer user accounts for the backup software/solution.
- Administration and management of data backups and ensure data recoverability.
- Develop and implement the SAN Backup Request process.
- Install and configure the backup agents.
- Established trending process and charts for backup size, run times, and tape usage.
- Enhanced the tape vaulting and auditing procedures, which reduced inventory errors.
- Organized regular audits of backup configurations to ensure quality of service.
- Proactive health checkup of solution to improve and add efficiency to current processes.
- Providing training, troubleshooting and technical advice to other members of the team.
- Created a KEDB for all backup failure errors, to simplify the troubleshooting process.
- Coordinates & support for data restorations with end users
- Create and maintain the process for data center operations.
- Prepare MIS reports of all DB servers.
- SLA Management/Audit Management.
- Proper Call Logging, Updation & Resolution in CA Tools.
- Compliance to ISO 20k & 27 k.

Education - B.E./B.Tech/MCA ,Certification - OEM Certification in Storage/Backup solution, 5+ Years of Experience
