Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven E-commerce Manager to lead the marketplace's operations, with a focus on driving sales revenue and managing end-to-end operations, including team leadership. You will be responsible for overseeing the platform's daily functions, implementing strategies to increase revenue, managing a cross-functional team, and ensuring smooth operations from customer acquisition to order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales & Revenue Growth :
- Develop and execute strategies to drive online sales and increase overall marketplace revenue.
- Manage pricing strategies, product promotions, and marketing campaigns to maximize sales.
- Track sales performance, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and return on investment (ROI) to improve profitability.
End-to-End Operations Management :
- Oversee all aspects of marketplace operations, including product listings, inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics.
- Ensure timely and accurate order processing, shipping, and delivery in collaboration with logistics partners.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Management :
- Lead and manage a cross-functional team including customer service, marketing, and operations specialists.
- Set clear performance targets for the team and ensure these are met through effective supervision and support.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on delivering results and maintaining operational excellence.
Vendor Relations & Onboarding :
- Manage relationships with D2C brands and ensure their smooth onboarding onto the platform.
- Collaborate with vendors on product visibility, pricing, and promotions to increase their sales on the marketplace.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns and product launches with vendors to boost overall platform performance.
Customer Experience :
- Work closely with customer service to resolve issues, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and improve the overall shopping experience.
- Monitor and improve user experience (UX) on the website, ensuring ease of use and mobile optimization.
Data Analysis & Reporting :
- Regularly analyze sales data, traffic trends, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Prepare and present performance reports, including key revenue metrics, to senior management with actionable insights for further growth.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 3-5+ years of proven experience managing e-commerce platforms or online marketplaces, with a focus on sales and operations.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce sales strategies, digital marketing, and revenue growth.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and motivating cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with e-commerce tools and platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, etc.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Passion for the D2C space and a strong understanding of the Indian consumer market.
