Job description
The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the sales team, clients, and potential customers. This role involves a deep understanding of our products and services, the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly, and the skills to help close sales. You should possess technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a track record in selling industrial tools.
Role
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you play a crucial role within our company, bridging technical expertise with sales strategies. You act as a vital link between our sales and technical teams. By closely working with customers, you understand their specific needs and use your in-depth product knowledge to create customized solutions that ensure successful results.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, setting appointments, and generating revenue, focusing on Automotive OEMs and Tier1 Automotive industries
  • Execute divisional sales strategies for own territory and support increasing its profitability
  • Expand and maintain constant customer interactions through Customer seminar, trainings, conferences, product demonstration etc.
  • Maintain proactive relationship with customers with the help of Walk the Line to result in transformations
  • Ability to demonstrate the product / features through demonstrations
  • Responsible for timely order execution and customer satisfaction
  • Customer relationship management and complaint handling in coordination with service team
  • Develop and manage a robust distribution channel
  • Increase the sales of new products with the support of latest marketing campaigns
  • Support new product launches within appointed area
  • Maintain a good rapport with the team, co-ordination with product manager, Project managers, service engineers, inside sales team
  • Utilize and acquire knowledge of competition in the market and be aware of the need for our solutions in the designated territory
  • Accurate reporting of sales data in salesforce
  • Effective Management of receivables within the designated area
  • Clear understanding of commercial terms
Experience
  • Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in industrial sales, specializing in technically advanced products.
  • A proven track record of leading, coordinating, and successfully completing various sales projects is essential.
  • Strong business insight is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with our product line is preferred.
Education
You should hold a Bachelor s degree of engineering (Mechanical / Electrical). Management degree will be an added advantage.
