Job Description

Job Title: Senior Manager, Wealth Operations

Department: Wealth Management
Location: Mumbai Fort.
Reporting to: AVP Wealth Operations.

Position Summary:

As a Senior Manager, Wealth Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless operations of the wealth management processes, ensuring that client accounts, investments, and portfolios are managed effectively. You will work closely with the Wealth Advisors, Relationship Managers, and other departments to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate delivery of services to our high-net-worth clients.


Key Responsibilities:

Wealth Management Operations:

    • Manage end-to-end wealth management operations including client onboarding, account maintenance, asset allocations, and reporting.
    • Oversee daily operational tasks, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement client investment strategies and ensure smooth execution of transactions.
    • Client Portfolio & Asset Management:
    • Work with wealth advisors to monitor, review, and optimize client portfolios, making recommendations based on market trends and clients' risk profiles.
    • Oversee the efficient execution of investment trades and transactions.
    • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of portfolio performance reporting and statements for clients.

Risk Management & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards to minimize operational and financial risk.
    • Perform due diligence on investments and ensure appropriate risk management strategies are in place.
    • Identify and mitigate operational risks through continuous monitoring and process improvements.

Process Optimization & Efficiency:

    • Develop and implement best practices for operational efficiency, ensuring minimal delays and errors.
    • Streamline processes for faster client service and improved operational workflows.
    • Leverage technology to enhance wealth operations, integrating new systems or improving current platforms.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

    • Lead a team of operations associates, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and innovation within the wealth operations team.
    • Collaborate closely with the relationship management team to deliver a holistic client experience.

Client Communication & Reporting:

    • Ensure timely, clear, and accurate communication of operational matters with clients.
    • Manage client inquiries regarding portfolio status, transactions, or any operational concerns.
    • Provide detailed reports and insights to clients on their portfolio performance, fees, and other relevant details.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

    • Track operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on wealth operations activities to senior management, including client satisfaction, process efficiency, and compliance status.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Professional certifications (CFA, CFP, or similar) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in wealth management operations, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial or senior role.

  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of wealth management products, portfolio management, and financial markets.
    • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the wealth management industry.
    • Proficiency in wealth management software and platforms (e.g., CRM systems, portfolio management tools).
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Leadership and team management experience in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
