Role: Windows Admin L2 with Cloud

Experience: 4 to 10 Years

Location: Bangalore(Whitefield) Chennai (Taramani)

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days

Shift Timings and Working Days: Rotational Shifts & (complete work from office)

Current Location: Candidates must be currently located in Bangalore and Chennai

Interview mode: Virtual

1. Windows Server Administration:
• Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments (2008/2012/2016/2019/2022).
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other critical services.
• Perform server patching, software updates, and security hardening.
• Monitor system health, diagnose issues, and ensure uptime and performance of servers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows server issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
2. Cloud Management and Support:
• Manage and support cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Configure and manage cloud instances (VMs, storage, networking).
• Work with cloud security tools and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Perform cloud cost optimization, monitoring, and reporting.
• Migrate and deploy applications and services to cloud platforms.
3. L2 Support:
• Act as the primary point of escalation for technical issues from L1 support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, networking, and cloud-related incidents.
• Investigate and analyze root causes of recurring incidents and work towards permanent resolutions.
• Collaborate with other teams (network, security, application support) for issue resolution.
4. System Automation and Scripting:
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for system configuration and maintenance tasks.
• Use cloud automation tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager) for infrastructure provisioning and management.
5. Backup and Recovery:
• Ensure regular backups and system snapshots are performed and are recoverable.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
6. Security and Compliance:
• Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and user access controls.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
• Monitor security logs and perform regular security audits.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide status reports on system health, cloud resource utilization, and incident resolution.
8. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
• Work closely with development, network, and security teams to improve system performance and stability.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to the improvement of best practices and workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Windows Server Administrator (3+ years).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (2+ years).
• Proficient in PowerShell, scripting, and automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other Windows-based services.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, storage, and compute services.
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies, disaster recovery planning, and execution.
• Familiarity with security concepts, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Datadog.
