Procurement Engineer-MEP (JOB CODE : KSA-1313)

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelors degree/masters in mechanical engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
• Candidates having GCC region experience are preferred for familiarity with local market conditions.
• Strong understanding of procurement regulations and guidelines.
• Experience with SAP systems and procurement software.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to develop procurement strategies for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) materials and services.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and subcontractors for MEP materials and services.
• Evaluate and compare bids and proposals from suppliers and subcontractors to determine the most cost-effective and reliable options.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
• Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving any issues or delays.
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure that procurement activities align with project timelines and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
• Stay updated on industry trends and developments in MEP materials and services to inform procurement decisions and strategies.
• Collaborate with project teams to forecast and plan for future procurement needs, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline and optimize the procurement function for MEP materials and services.
