Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Placement Officer to facilitate the placement of ITI/Diploma students in the manufacturing and technology sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong connections with manufacturing companies, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving placement targets. This role involves building relationships with employers, understanding industry requirements, and ensuring students are well-prepared for job opportunities. The position requires a PAN India presence with a base location in Mumbai/Other, and frequent travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Industry Engagement:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with HR personnel, industry professionals, and manufacturing companies to identify and secure placement opportunities for students.
o Collaborate with employers to understand their recruitment needs and ensure alignment with student skill sets.
o Build and maintain relationships with government organizations, NGOs, and industry bodies to expand placement opportunities.
2. Student Support:
o Guide students through the placement process, including resume building, interview preparation, and career counseling.
o Conduct mock interviews, workshops, and training sessions to enhance students employability skills.
o Provide personalized career guidance to students based on their skills and industry demands.
3. Placement Coordination:
o Coordinate and oversee the placement process, ensuring timely and successful placements for students.
o Organize and manage placement drives, job fairs, and industry interactions.
o Facilitate the end-to-end placement process, including resume submission, interview scheduling, and feedback collection.
4. Market Research:
o Conduct market research to identify new job opportunities and trends in the manufacturing, technologies, and emerging technologies sectors.
o Stay updated on industry demands and incorporate insights into placement strategies.
o Analyze industry trends to ensure training programs are aligned with employer needs.
5. Reporting and Compliance:
o Prepare and present regular reports on placement activities, outcomes, and employer feedback.
o Maintain accurate records of student placements, employer interactions, and placement-related data.
o Ensure all placement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
6. Event Management:
o Organize and manage placement drives, job fairs, and industry interactions.
o Represent the organization at industry events, networking sessions, and employer meetings.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources,
Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
o Minimum of 7 years of experience in placement services, HR, or corporate relations.
o Proven track record of placing ITI/Diploma students in the manufacturing and technology sectors.
Skills:
o Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Strong organizational and time management skills.
o Familiarity with the Indian job market and industry trends in manufacturing, technologies, and emerging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience working with government organizations and NGOs.
o Exposure to the manufacturing and technology sectors.
o Knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing, robotics, automation).
