Job Description

Job Purpose :

As the Head - South for the Tiles Division, you will oversee and drive sales and operations across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. This senior leadership role demands a dynamic professional with a proven track record in institutional/project sales, exceptional team leadership, and strategic market planning. You will spearhead the region's growth by building strong relationships with architects, builders, and private project clients while ensuring operational excellence and delivering on sales targets.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Regional Sales Leadership :

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for the South region to achieve and exceed sales targets.

- Oversee operations, ensuring seamless execution of projects across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.

- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, refining strategies accordingly.

Institutional/Project Sales :

- Build and nurture a strong network of architects, builders, and project stakeholders to drive institutional and private project sales.

- Lead negotiations for high-value deals, positioning premium products effectively.

- Develop innovative solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Team Leadership :

- Recruit, mentor, and manage regional sales teams (remote and on-site), fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.

- Conduct regular team performance reviews and implement professional development initiatives to enhance skills and capabilities.

- Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment of sales, operations, and logistics functions.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

- Formulate region-specific strategies to penetrate and grow market share in competitive environments.

- Oversee sales forecasting, budget management, and resource allocation to meet revenue objectives.

- Identify and implement best practices in sales processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Industry and Market Engagement:

- Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and customer preferences within the building materials and tiles industry.

- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and develop new business opportunities.

Required Skills:

- Institutional/Project Sales Expertise: Proven ability to build relationships and close deals with architects, builders, and private project clients.

- Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate high-value deals and sell premium products in a competitive market.

- Strategic Thinking: Expertise in market planning, sales forecasting, and strategy execution to achieve measurable results.

- Team Management: Demonstrated experience leading diverse, remote, and regional sales teams across a wide geography.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and influence at senior levels.

- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of logistics and manufacturing processes relevant to the building materials and tiles industry.

MBA in Sales & Marketing with a minimum of 60% marks from a reputed institution.

Required Work Experience:

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in institutional/project sales with a strong focus on multinational corporations (MNCs).

- Significant exposure to the building materials and tiles industry, particularly in logistics and manufacturing.

- Proven track record of success in a leadership role with PAN India or multi-regional exposure.
