Job Summary
The Country Head for International Mobile Business Channel Sales and Marketing will be responsible for leading and driving the overall sales, marketing, and business development efforts for the mobile business in a specific country or region. The role involves strategic planning, identifying growth opportunities, managing key partnerships, overseeing sales channels, and executing marketing initiatives to enhance the brand's market presence and profitability in the mobile business sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Define and execute the country's mobile sales and marketing strategy aligned with the regional/global goals.
- Lead the country's mobile business P&L, ensuring growth and profitability.
- Provide leadership and direction to the sales and marketing teams, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance.
Sales Channel Development:
- Manage and develop relationships with key channel partners (retailers, distributors, and resellers).
- Build and expand the mobile sales network to achieve revenue targets.
- Implement channel partner training, support programs, and performance management systems.
Marketing & Brand Positioning:
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for mobile products.
- Ensure the brand's mobile product portfolio is effectively positioned in the market.
- Collaborate with global/local marketing teams to tailor campaigns for the country's specific market dynamics.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to refine marketing strategies.
Business Development & Market Expansion:
- Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships for mobile sales channels.
- Lead market expansion initiatives and support entry into new geographic regions if necessary.
- Drive initiatives for customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty within the mobile market segment.
Sales Targets & Performance Management:
- Set annual and quarterly sales targets and ensure the team achieves them.
- Track and report on sales performance against targets and KPIs, making adjustments as needed.
- Lead negotiation processes with key partners and suppliers to drive business growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product development, finance, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure smooth product delivery and availability.
- Provide market feedback and insights to the product development teams for future product enhancements.
- Collaborate with finance teams to create pricing strategies and ensure profitability in the market.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the mobile business sector.
- Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in mobile business sales, channel management, and marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing sales and marketing teams and driving business growth in the mobile industry.
- Strong experience in managing key channel relationships (distributors, retailers, resellers) in international markets.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the mobile business landscape, trends, and technologies.
- Expertise in sales strategy, pricing models, marketing campaigns, and P&L management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
- Fluency in English (additional language skills can be a plus).
