Job Summary:
The Vice President/General Manager of Sales & Marketing will spearhead revenue growth, market penetration, and business development initiatives for the TMT or Grey Cement sector. This role requires strong industry expertise, strategic leadership, and a proven track record in achieving business volume targets in highly competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business volume and revenue targets across regional, national, and international markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, dealers, and key stakeholders.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion areas to increase market share.
- Drive large-scale project sales, institutional sales, and bulk procurement deals.
Marketing & Branding:
- Formulate and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and equity in the TMT or Grey Cement industry.
- Oversee market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and customer preferences.
- Plan and execute product launches, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Leverage digital platforms and technology to improve marketing efficiency and reach.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of sales and marketing professionals.
- Set performance benchmarks, monitor progress, and provide actionable feedback for continuous improvement.
- Build a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure operational efficiency in the distribution network, including supply chain and logistics alignment with sales objectives.
- Optimize inventory management and demand forecasting for uninterrupted supply to the market.
- Collaborate with production, finance, and other departments to align business goals.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and present business forecasts, budgets, and periodic reports to senior leadership.
- Stay updated with industry trends, government policies, and regulatory developments impacting the business.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Achievement of sales and revenue targets.
- Market share growth and geographical expansion.
- Cost optimization and improved profit margins.
- Dealer/distributor network growth and retention.
- Success of marketing campaigns and brand visibility metrics.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 20 years in sales, marketing, or business development, with a proven track record in the TMT or Grey Cement industry.
- Education: MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or a related field. A background in engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong expertise in handling high-volume business operations and scaling distribution networks.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and work in a matrix environment.
