Lead - Business Intelligence & Fractal (2-5 yrs)

As a leader to set up and streamline the BI and Fractal integration processes, you will drive the development and scaling of data analytics and reporting practices across their finance teams. In this role, you will oversee critical data management and automation projects, build robust IT platforms, and provide leadership in integrating advanced analytics tools like Fractal with BI systems. With a focus on innovation and operational excellence, you will establish Airtel Africa as a pioneer in leveraging data for strategic decision-making and operational success.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Data Management and Analytics

- Extract and analyze data from BI and Fractal systems to support financial planning and decision-making processes.

- Conduct detailed data mining to provide actionable insights and drive analytical outcomes.

- Support analytics teams with ad hoc requests by developing SQL queries and extracting relevant data from source systems.

- Ensure KPI availability and maintain consistency across reports to minimize manual interventions.

- Assist in creating a unified IT platform for stakeholders to access standardized reports efficiently.

Process Optimization and Integration

- Lead Fractal migration initiatives from BI for CWN across operational companies (OPCOs).

- Drive standardization of definitions and reports across OPCOs to ensure uniformity and accuracy.

- Facilitate integration between FPM and Fractal for seamless monthly NFI migration and site-wise profitability reporting.

- Develop and automate reports in FPM and Fractal to enhance operational efficiency.

- Client Engagement and Relationship Management

- Collaborate with internal finance teams and other stakeholders to address their data needs and enhance decision-making capabilities.

- Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to align analytics solutions with business objectives.

- Deliver clear, concise findings, insights, and recommendations through detailed reports and presentations.

Leadership and Team Collaboration

- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members in the use of BI and Fractal systems.

- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices to enhance team capabilities and overall expertise.

Must Have:

- Strong experience with data analysis, SAS, SQL, and Visual Basic.

- Proven track record in automating processes and integrating advanced analytics platforms.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Familiarity with telecommunications and financial reporting processes.

- Ability to manage complex projects and drive results within set timelines.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with cross-functional teams effectively.

Educational Requirements

- Preferably an MBA or a Postgraduate degree.

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics or related fields.
