Job Summary

As a Senior MySQL Developer, you will manage and enhance a robust MySQL database environment with over 700 tables and 150 GB of data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design efficient database structures, implement data processing logic, and ensure optimal database performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Design: Design and develop scalable database structures and schemas for large-scale MySQL implementations.
• Query Optimization: Write and fine-tune complex SQL queries to achieve peak performance.
• Data Processing: Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow and processing.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance by managing indexing, query optimization, and system tuning.
• Integration: Collaborate with developers and engineers to integrate MySQL databases seamlessly with applications.
• Upgrades and Migrations: Oversee database migrations, updates, and upgrades with minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
• Data Security and Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and adherence to relevant data protection regulations.
• Documentation and Standards: Create comprehensive documentation and contribute to setting best practices for MySQL development and management.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in MySQL database development.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for high-volume data environments.
• Deep understanding of database design and architecture for large-scale systems.
• Familiarity with MySQL storage engines like InnoDB and MyISAM.
• Knowledge of MySQLs physical and logical architecture.
• Should have hands on experience with Mysql 8.0 and above
• Should have knowledge about Mysql sharding and Mysql Partitioning
• Should have knowledge about data archieval and its process
• Should be having proficiency in generating report through mysql for any requested data in the database
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in performance tuning and optimization using MySQL tools and native features.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
