AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Job summary
AWS India, is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth and effective interpersonal and people management skills. You will co-operate with some of the world s largest companies and collaborate with several other teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS Cloud in India.

This role requires leadership skills, you will hire and develop some of the industry s best cloud-based solutions architects. Coach them on cloud adoption best practices, empower them to further develop their technical areas of depth as well as their communication, presentation and strategic advisory skills. You will be partnering with other teams such as business development, service teams, marketing, and professional services, prioritizing your initiatives and aligning goals to maximize long term value.

You will be measuring and delivering results, while staying in touch with the pace of innovation of the AWS technology and its use cases. You will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well so that you can shape the customer s technology adoption and solutions-focused initiatives of your team.

You will get to practice your creativity in driving the link between technology and tangible solutions and educating customers about the art of the possible. Central to this will be your leadership in driving Solutions Architects to create cutting edge reference architectures for a variety of use cases.

The ideal candidate has experience in building, leading and developing talented teams of senior engineers or solutions architects. Customer-facing experience is preferred, practical knowledge of the AWS platform is desired but not required, provided you have sound leadership skills and a strong technical foundation in secure, scalable and reliable IT architectures.

Key job responsibilities
Serve as a leader for the Solutions Architect team in India, and as a key member of the business development team.
Hire, enable, and develop an industry-leading team of solutions architects.
Build deep relationships with customers to become a trusted advisor for their most critical workloads that support their digital transformation and journey to the cloud.
Educate customers in India on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
Support achievement of revenue objectives through the adoption and migration of applications, software, and services onto the AWS platform, in partnership with the business development team.
Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices.
Act as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support them to address customer needs.
Strategy & Innovation: articulate business/industry fundamentals ( e. g. , ROI, TCO); understand regulations and operational excellence; familiarity with business strategy and trends in the IT industry (e. g. , CI/CD, IoT, Predictive Analytics).

- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
