Job Description:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive management team and will report directly to the CEO. The CFO will have primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for leading a team of finance, strategic planning, investor relationship, global commercial and legal matters, treasury operations, inorganic growth opportunities etc.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop and execute the financial strategy of the company.
- Lead financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team.
2. Financial Management:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain robust financial systems, controls, and processes.
Operational Efficiency:
- Manage the finance and accounting teams, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Oversee financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and procurement.
- Optimize financial performance through cost management and efficiency improvements.
3. Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency and interest rate risks.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies.
- Ensure appropriate insurance coverage is maintained.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Lead the company's efforts in fundraising, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate finance activities.
5. Commercials, Legal & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance activities.
- Maintain an effective internal control environment.
- Oversee legal and regulatory to adhere 100% compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the IT industry.
- Strong knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- In-depth understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
