Business Head / COO - Packaged Foods / Snacks
- The Business Head/COO will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and operational execution of the packaged foods business, driving significant growth and profitability.
- This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in the packaged food industry.
- The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with exceptional people skills and a passion for building high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the strategic plan to achieve the company's ambitious growth targets, expanding market share and brand presence.
- Identify new product opportunities, market segments, and distribution channels.
Sales & Marketing:
- Spearhead sales and marketing initiatives, including developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, building strong distributor networks, and executing effective marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and drive consumer demand.
Manufacturing & Operations:
- Oversee all manufacturing and operational aspects, ensuring efficient production, quality control, cost optimization, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
Logistics & Procurement:
- Manage the logistics and procurement functions, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, efficient warehousing, and smooth distribution of finished goods.
Financial Performance:
- Be accountable for the P&L of the business, managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving profitability.
People Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across all functions.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
- This includes performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR and Finance (dotted line reporting) to ensure alignment with overall company objectives and efficient resource allocation.
Market Analysis:
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities and challenges.
Compliance & Regulatory:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 20+ years of overall experience, with a significant portion in the packaged food industry, specifically within the snacks category.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and growing businesses, with a demonstrated ability to drive sales, increase market share, and improve profitability.
- Deep understanding of the packaged food market, including consumer trends, distribution channels, and competitive landscape.
- Strong sales and marketing expertise, with experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Excellent operational and supply chain management skills.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a passion for building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
