Role Overview:

This role is a part of our global Accordion group. The responsibilities and nature of critical deliverables for this role will be spanning across geographies (currently India, U.S & U.K) with operations based out of our India office in Hyderabad.


Our team, nationally recognized in the US, serves companies and their stakeholders across a wide spectrum of industries and sizes, with a focus on the middle market. We provide clients with a team of seasoned professionals who have notable track records of creating value.

We are excited to expand our presence into key global markets and are actively recruiting professionals to join our team in the Hyderabad office. You will provide extensive research support across a variety of industries and markets; utilize experience and on the job training to successfully gather, analyze and prepare reports, trends, analysis, thought leadership materials and advice that helps identify new client opportunities and better understand larger sector and market trends. Successful candidates in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a client facing role over a period of time as the next step in their career pathway

What You will do:

The roles and responsibilities of Manager Research & Insights will include the below:

  • Conduct market and industry research to identify new business opportunities, potential leads, and industry trends
  • Perform a variety of research analyses, utilizing research tools and publicly available information, to identify and monitor companies that are in distress or are likely to experience distress in the future, looking for signs of financial underperformance, liquidity issues, operating difficulties, covenant breaches, and other negative corporate or industry events
  • Produce high-quality research content, including reports, articles, and presentations for various team members
  • Prepare and deliver reports on sales activity, lead generation projections, industry insights, and other relevant information to maintain integration within the sales process
  • Prepare thought leadership and articles
  • Stay updated with and analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in order to compile and provide valuable insights and recommendations for thought leadership
  • Support the creation, preparation, and development of quality thought leadership materials
  • Effectively gather, analyze and organize large data sets which may be incomplete
  • Respond in a timely manner to other requests for data, research, analyses, etc. as needed
  • Research on new and existing leads, including relationships identified in our Customer Relationship Management (DealCloud) tool

Ideally, you have:

  • Experience in performing equity or credit research
  • Bachelors degree in finance and/or Accounting is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High proficiency in conducting research utilizing online and third-party platforms
  • Proficiency in preparing reports
  • Ability to build and sustain strong and trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and uncertain environment
  • Deep understanding of how to interpret and analyze market and sector trends
  • Possess strong analytical and business writing skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and independently yet understand when to ask for guidance
  • Experience in working with a CRM tool is a plus
